“Taichung City Tzu Ming High School” was established in 1971. It’s now over 50 years. There are many vocational majors, such as Restaurant Management, Tourism, Beautification, Computer Science, Aeroelectronics Techniques, Electronic Commerce, Advertisement, Applied Japanese, Early Childhood Care and Education, Caring Services, etc.
Through the efforts of the teachers and the students of whole school, Tzu Ming high school has been evaluated as a high quality high school by the Ministry of Education over the years. The grade of the evaluation and accreditation is “The First Class, Top Honor, and High Distinction School.” Also, Tzu Ming won the silver award in “School Administration Implementation” and the golden award in “Classroom Management” of the Character Education Implementation Best Practice in Taichung. Moreover, Tzu Ming was honored to win “Ministry of Education Character Education Featured School” in 2019. This is a feather in Tzu Ming’s cap for it is the only school in the central part of Taiwan, especially the only three high schools nationwide to win this award.
The managing performance of Tzu Ming is stellar. In order to implement government’s New Southbound Policy practically, boost regional development and cooperation, and elevate Taiwan’s economy industrial pattern and diversity, Tzu Ming commenced to lure the youth of the overseas compatriot to come to Taiwan for study in 2020. Through 5 year efforts, we have over 800 overseas students, and from 7 southeast nations. Cooperating with the University of Technology, organizing 3+4 industry-academia collaboration program, conducting the plan in nurturing overseas compatriot talents, Tzu Ming expects to keep the overseas compatriot talents to assist in upgrading the competitiveness of the enterprise and Taiwan.
